People love to pooh pooh the Wager Saver feature on some newer slot machines, but when it works out that last spin could be the one that makes all the difference.
A few weeks back I featured Slot Queen’s Wager Saver to the Major jackpot, and I’ve also featured the Slot Cats progressive handpay win on a wager saver. Here’s another jackpot handpay off a wager saver bet, featuring Neily 777!
The segment featuring the amazing moment starts at about 10:00 on the video:
Neily was playing Dollar Storm, and his wager saver spin triggered the Hold and Spin bonus, but it did so with a Super Grand chance AND a Major Jackpot progressive.
Those two alone guarantee a handpay, given their combined starting point of $1,500. The major was $560, so it was already a bit more to start, plus the Cash on Reels already landed of almost another $100.
He didn’t get much else on the reels, and the Super Grand chance paid the minimum $1,000 on offer for that space, but that was certainly enough to get the job done, with almost $1,700 won in total and a respectable 170x his bet of $10 a spin (although it cost him less that spin since it was won on a Wager Saver attempt).
This is certainly one of those moments many of us would love to have where we can win a handpay on our last little bit of money left in the machine! And in this case, winning two very hard to win prizes on a single spin, let alone a Wager Saver, makes this a bit of an unusual moment all around.
